Meet Captain Luna Crowley

At the helm of Selina II is Captain Luna Crowley — a lifelong East End mariner and the great-granddaughter of Frank Mundus, the legendary Greenport charter captain who inspired the character Quint in Jaws. Raised in and around Greenport, Luna grew up sailing these waters with her great aunt and life mentor, Pat Mundus. She didn't choose this work; she inherited it as a third generation captain, and then chose to carry it forward.

A Multigenerational Maritime Legacy

Luna earned her captain’s license at 19 years old. Together with her crew, Captain Luna blends professional seamanship with unhurried hospitality. Guests regularly describe their sail as the highlight of their trip to Long Island — not because of what happened, but because of what didn't: no crowds, no noise, no rush.Together with her crew, Capt. Luna blends professional seamanship with warm hospitality. Guests consistently praise the team’s storytelling, attentiveness, and ability to make every sail feel personal and unforgettable.
